独立艺术家,1978 年生于北京,硕士毕业于伦敦艺术大学中央圣马丁艺术设计学院叙事环境/温布尔顿艺术学院 纯艺术专业, 主攻综合材料装置与空间叙事研究。

Yorda的创作基于对材料的研究和对空间的审查与利用。她探讨感觉 行为本身,也在特定空间里即兴创作。她肢解现成品并重新组合, 或利用廉价消费品并改变其属性,复制与搭建新的叙事和空间语言。 Yorda描述“空”与“虚幻感”,利用刺激性色彩的“非自然性”来制造 “谎言”以抵抗现实。轻薄易碎的褴褛诗意在Yorda的作品里映射出人类精神上的苦难。 详见个人网站: yordayuan.wixsite.com/2016

1978 born in Beijing University of Arts London.MA Narrative Environments, Central Saint Martin College of Arts and Design, MFA Fine Art, Wimbledon College of Art.

Based on great interests of study of various materials and investigation of different spaces, Yorda develops her own art language by improvisational means of dismembering/restructuring found objects as well as cheap mass-consumption production and excessive industrial materials, as a result, to generate new narratives within certain space. She depicts ‘void’ and ‘illusion’, produces unnatural ‘lies’ (surreal/unreal visual phenomenon) to resist existing reality. Tattered poetic fragile appearance and irritating colours in her multi-media installations insinuate spiritual suffering and poignancy of human being towards the materialistic world. She often gives ‘beauty’ a disturbing, uncomfortable representation to foster hypothesis and refractions of the ‘new thing’.

行为装置。材料:尼龙网,移动/静止人体 ,文字

实施方案:

合作表演艺术家身穿艺术家 Yorda 唯红色装置作品(主要覆及脖子 及身体整个身体前部,可怀抱,简单固定,最好盖过头部),及背 后写有下述文字的长袍(颜色样式不限,最好简单白色或黑色,字 为红色颜料手写),行走于主会场及周边室外人群中,缓慢以便于 观者阅读。

作品阐释:此件行为作品所要传达的基本内涵,除个人的艺术表达 ——即对虚伪的物质材料之美与自然肉体和灵魂的冲突之思考与追 问外,文字原始部分截取了行为艺术家阿布拉莫维奇 2010 年在纽约 MOMA 举办的个人回顾展上发布的《艺术家宣言》,并做了讽刺性 修改。借由两者结合提出对大型历史性国际艺术盛事甄选艺术家及 作品的标准、流程,参与形式和话语权的质疑,对当代众多商业艺 术家创作及谋利方式的质疑,对美与范例的质疑。 ——艺术家应该首先净化自己的灵魂。

Soul-purifying

performing installation. material: nylon net, moving/motionless human body/words

Plan:

The performance artist wears the red installation material to enclose her head, neck and front body, and in a white/black long gown showing the following words in red too on her back. The performer walks slowly around the main exhibition hall and outside area to allow viewer to read.

Interpretation: Beyond a personal art presentation-the thinking of the conflict between the beauty of artificial material and natural life/human body/soul , this performing installation aim too to convey an ironic idea which query the existing standard/mode of committee nominating and work selecting of international contemporary art events, also, to the art speaking authority, to the art marketing system, to the disordered art behaviors, and to ‘beauty’, to idols and examples. (the modified writing statements originally quoted from An artist’s life Manifesto by Marina Abramovic in her retrospective in MOMA 2010.)
